So I understand that this is the beginning of a new series and let's just say that this will be a great series as it rolls into the next book.  This book, however, snatched me up right from the start.  It held me emotionally while reading and mentally when I had to put it down to take care of something else.  It's extremely well written and easy to follow.  A lovely story plot and characters!
