On the
proverbial run from another failed relationship, Morgan finds herself in the
one place she always found solace. With every intention of being alone, she’s
surprised when she comes across the one person she never expected.
Luke would go to the ends of the earth to figure out why Morgan ran away five years ago and make things right with her. However, a dangerous trek up the mountains to her family’s cabin might not have been the smartest choice. To say she was happy to see him would be a huge lie. Having to rescue him, mortifying for Luke.
Toss a kidnapper into the mix and their feelings for each other are brought into perspective, revealing parts of themselves they never thought would come to light.

Excerpt:
“Good lord, you’re annoying.” She couldn’t wait to
leave the cabin. Morgan gestured to the living room. “Can you hand me my radio
from the table out there? I need to let Uncle Bill know I’m coming home today.”
“No can do, sorry. You aren’t going anywhere today,
and I already talked to Bill. He said to stay as long as need be to get you
better.” The smug look Luke displayed as he relaxed in the doorway was enough
to make her throw up.
“You called him? Why would you do that? I told you
I was planning on going home today.”
“And I told you I wasn’t letting you go anywhere
until we got a few things straight, and I meant exactly that Morgan. As of
right this minute, you are done running away. We are going to stay here as long
as it takes to get everything out in the open. We shared something amazing last
night, and I’m here to make sure that won’t be the last time we are ever
intimate.”
Luke had steadily progressed from the door way to
stand at the side of the bed. Arms crossed, he definitely meant business.
Morgan tried to look anywhere but at the amazing
body that had done countless delicious things to her the night before. Remembering
what it was like to be that close to him wasn’t something she was willing to
rehash, no matter what he said. She knew at some point her natural hormonal
instincts would kick in, overruling her better judgment, and she was afraid to
let that happen again. Once could be explainable, but multiple times actually
meant something.
