CHRYSALIS SERIES BY MICHEL PRINCE Tour & Giveaway

Chrysalis Series:
Chrysalis,
The Beam
by Michel Prince

BLURB:

In the annals of dysfunctional families, the Chisholm’s are working their way to the top. Drug abuse, an unwed mother with multiple fathers, and the questionable cash flow for the 'pretty one'. All this from a seemingly normal, two parent middle class family. But were the choices truly made of their free will? Bad choices are a Chisholm family trait, one that confounds the youngest child, Ellie, who's trying to separate herself by making smart decisions. And falling for Oscar Jeffreys, the hottest guy at school, would be number one on the list of Chisholm family disasters. Yet the crazy part is it’s not a one sided attraction.

Somehow Ellie has caught Oscar Jeffreys’ eye. Sure she could see the barriers between them. Race, age, popularity. They were at opposite ends of the spectrum. But a demon set to destroy her family? She can't see that. Oscar provides security and acceptance Ellie never imagined she deserved. As the passion of first love grows, Ellie honestly believes she has a chance to beat the odds and live a happy, normal life. Then her world collapses around her. With the help of a guardian angel, Ellie learns of a world that has unknowingly surrounded her for years. And she'll have to find strength buried deep inside to save not only her future, but flush out and stop the demon in her midst.

Ellie will have to learn that sometimes the hardest lesson about growing up is accepting that you're worth more.

Excerpt Two:

From Chrysalis

“I don’t have time for your voodoo priestess bull crap right now.”

“You don’t have time not to learn it. For real this time.”

“I need you to understand something. I’m not who you think I am. Do you remember me from before Caleb’s accident?”

What did that have to do with Oscar cheating on me, crushing my heart into a million pieces?

“Focus!” she said, seizing the desk and looking me in the eyes. “Do you remember me?”

“No,” I blurted, wanting her to end the asinine questioning.

“You don’t remember me because I wasn’t there before Caleb died. His death is what brought me into your life. I need you to come out in the hallway and focus to see the truth… then you need to learn where I’ve really been going each summer.”

Taking my hand she led me to the hallway, just enough to peer out.

“I want you to look down the hallway and tell me what you see. Remember, you have to focus to see the truth. Your aura has been weakened, making you susceptible to a demon’s tricks. You must clear your head. Think about those magic eye posters you have to relax your eyes to see the real picture underneath.”

“Like in Mallrats.”

“Yes. It’s a schooner.”

“Wait, did you say demon?”

“Just focus Chisholm.”

I peered down the hall. Sharyn was still pinned up against the wall. I made my eyes relax and then adjusted my point of focus until I saw Spencer trying to get Sharyn to leave with him. Then I closed my eyes to refocus and make sure what I’d seen this time was real. When I reopened my eyes I immediately saw Spencer and Sharyn. I went back in the classroom looking at Kelly.

“She’s making out with Spencer now.”

“She was always making out with Spencer, you were just seeing an illusion brought on by Mya weakening your belief in Oscar, and a demon.”

“A demon?”
